A 22-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with a shooting incident in Limerick earlier this week.

A 22-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with a shooting incident in Limerick earlier this week.

Craig Hanlon from Raheen Square in the city is accused of recklessly discharging a firearm at a house in Garryglass Avenue in the early hours of Monday morning.

He is also accused of possession of a shotgun and four cartridges in suspicious circumstances.

The incident was allegedly linked to a local feud in the Ballinacura Weston area of Limerick.

Mr Hanlon was refused bail and he is due to appear in court again next week.
