Man and woman face murder trial in Cork
The trial of a man and woman accused of murdering a young Fermoy man at his flat in Cork city two years ago has opened in Cork this afternoon.
Gillian Purcell (aged 33) of Simon, Anderson’s Quay, Cork, and formerly of Hollyhill, Cork, and John Walsh (aged 44) of Cork Street, Mitchelstown, were both arraigned on the charge of murdering the John McManus on a date unknown between October 28 and November 7, 2008 at Verdon Place, Wellington Road, Cork.
