Man for court in connection with road rage death

A 29-year-old man is due in court later in connection with an attack on an English motorist in Dublin, after which the victim later died.

Karl Donoghue of Fisherman's Wharf in Ringsend in Dublin has already been charged with assault causing harm to 49-year-old Raymond Bates.

Mr Bates died at Beaumont Hospital on September 30 after suffering head injuries in an alleged attack at Sandymount four days before.

It is believed more serious charges may be brought against Mr Donoghue when he appears before Cloverhill District Court later today.
