Man is shot in the hand in Dublin

A man has been rushed to hospital after being shot in the hand in north Dublin this morning.

The man, aged in his 30s, was injured in a shooting at about 8.10am this morning in Swords.

He was taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment.

A Garda spokesman said the scene at Boroimhe Cedars, on the old airport road, remains sealed off pending a technical examination.

Detectives appealed for anyone who may have information or who may have witnessed the attack to contact Swords Garda Station.
