Man arrested in connection with Farrell murder
A 29-year-old man has been arrested over the murder of Offaly publican Matt Farrell.
The 64-year-old was found dead at the Gaelic Bar in Daingean on April 1st 2009.
He had been tied to a chair and a post-mortem revealed he had died as a result of head injuries.
As part of the investigation, gardaí made an arrest this evening in Roscrea.
The suspect is being held at Tullamore Garda Station for questioning.
