Gardaí question two in connection with dissident activity

Two men remain in Garda custody after a pipe bomb was found in their car outside Waterford city on Friday night.

Gardaí stopped and searched the car as part of an investigation targetting dissident republican activity.

Army bomb disposal experts were called to the scene on the Dungarvan Road.

No controlled explosion was carried out, but the device was made safe.
