Four held after Limerick and Dublin drugs finds

Four men remain in garda custody this morning in connection with two separate drug seizures in Limerick and Dublin yesterday.

Four men remain in garda custody this morning in connection with two separate drug seizures in Limerick and Dublin yesterday.

A significant seizure of heroin was made near the Moyross estate in Limerick, whilst cannabis herb was found in a house in west Dublin.

€200,000 worth of heroin was found on waste land at Knockalisheen Road near the Moyross estate in Limerick. The men, who are aged 18, 20 and 40, were arrested near where the drugs were found.

All three are being questioned at Henry Street garda station under drug trafficking legislation.

Meanwhile in a separate operation, a 22-year-old man is still being questioned by gardaí in connection with the seizure of €100,000 worth of cannabis herb in west Dublin last night.

The drugs were found during the search of a house in Ballyfermot. The man is being held at Ballyfermot garda station.
