Harney rejects ex-chairman's criticisms of children's hospital project

Minister for Health Mary Harney has hit back at critical comments from the former chairman of the board overseeing the development of the new children's hospital.

Philip Lynch said he resigned from the project due to "fundamental differences" between himself an Ms Harney, including the substantial funding gap for the project as well as planning and design challenges for the site at the Mater Hospital in Dublin.
