Parts of M6 motorway closed this morning

Motorists are being warned that parts of the M6 motorway will be closed this morning.

Gardaí, as well as the fire and the ambulance service are to conduct a response exercise from Junction 19 Westbound to the Coolough roundabout from 9.30am until midday.

Westbound traffic will be diverted via Carrowmonesh roundabout (Oranmore ) onto the N6 for Galway.

Eastbound traffic will not be affected.
