Weekend weather to lift spirits
The west of the country will be feeling the heat this weekend with temperatures expected to hit as high as 22 degrees.
A low pressure to the south west of Ireland is the cause of the milder weather forecast across the country on Saturday and Sunday.
The average temperature for this time of year is around 15 degrees.
But meterologist with Met Eireann Siobhan Ryan says things will turn much cooler towards the end of next week.
She said temperatures will fall sharply after Monday with frost in store some nights.
