Director Sheridan in High Court dispute with builders
Talks to settle a High Court dispute involving film director Jim Sheridan are to continue tomorrow.
The €4m claim by Sheridan and his wife Fran against various contractors is over alleged defective works on their luxury four-bedroom home at the seafront in Dalkey, Co Dublin.
The Sheridans allege negligence in the building of their home 'Martha's Vineyard' on Coliemore Road caused extensive water damage.
The film director and his wife say this frustrated efforts to sell the house in 2007 when a buoyant market meant it could have reached a price of €7m.
Now it would be more likely to sell for somewhere in the region of €3.5m to €4m.
Negotiations between the Sherida's and the various contractors to settle the row went on all afternoon and will resume tomorrow morning with the case to come back before Judge Brian McGovern at noon.
