A young Dublin man has been sentenced to six years with three suspended for possessing €36,000 of cannabis resin stored in the passenger foot well of a taxi.

William Murphy (aged 20) admitted to gardaí at the scene that he had picked up the cache at a nearby estate and was to hold it for a friend until he got a phone call later that evening.
