Council refuse to transfer couple from 'haunted house'

Cork City Council has refused to transfer a couple who claim their house is haunted.

The stand-off has resulted in the three-bed house in Hollyhill lying vacant for almost six months.

The couple hit the headlines last year after they claimed an evil spirit was haunting their house at Hollywood Estate.

Despite continuing to pay rent, the couple moved to a relative's house and are refusing to return.

The City Council says it will not be providing them with another property because it has no real way of determining if the claims are true.
