A new 14-bed facility for treating young people with mental health problems opens its doors today in Dublin.

A new 14-bed facility for treating young people with mental health problems opens its doors today in Dublin.

The Willow Grove Adolescent Unit at St Patrick's University Hospital will be officially opened by rugby international and Munster star Paul O'Connell.

The unit will help teenagers at risk of suicide or suffering from anxiety, eating disorders or psychosis.

Chief Executive of St Patrick's Paul Gilligan said the facility also offers free-of-charge assessments for young people with mental health concerns.
