A student in the North has died from suspected meningitis.

A student in the North has died from suspected meningitis.

The teenager had just finished his first week at the University of Ulster in Jordanstown when he became ill.

He was from Ballycastle in Co Antrim. Those who have been in close contact with him are receiving antibiotics.

Fellow student Lauren Arlow said the student's death was "very shocking and sad".
