132 venues to participate in 'Culture Night'

The gates of Leinster House will be open to the public later as part of 'Culture Night'.

Five hundred venues will open their doors around the country in a celebration of arts and culture from 5pm this evening.

Whether it's a poetry open-mic night in Cork, a 'cultural swap' in Mayo or a recording studio tour in Waterford, culture night is open to all.

Since its inception in 2006, Culture Night has grown to a nationwide celebration of arts and culture.

Half a million people are expected to turn out for events in 20 cities, towns and counties

One hundred and thirty-two cultural venues will open their doors in Dublin, including Leinster House where guided tours will run from 5pm.
