Man held in connection with Cork stabbing released

Gardaí in Cork have released a man they were questioning about a stabbing in the city.
A 24-year-old man suffered multiple wounds at an apartment on Cathedral road on Sunday night.
The victim was rushed to Cork University Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery and was given a blood transfusion.
A 25-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Gurranabraher Garda station for questioning. He was released from custody yesterday evening and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
