Man stabbed multiple times in Cork city apartment

A man is in a critical condition after suffering multiple stab wounds during a row at an apartment complex on Cathedral road in Cork city last night.

The 24-year-old victim was rushed to Cork University Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery overnight.

It is understood he had suffered serious stab wounds to the head, back, stomach and legs.

His condition is said to be critical.

A 25-year-old man was arrested and is being held at Gurranabraher garda station.
