The body of an elderly woman is being recovered from the River Liffey in Dublin's city centre.

An elderly woman is in a critical condition after she was rescued from the river Liffey near Heuston Station in Dublin.

Passersby raised the alarm at Wolfe Tone Quay at 4.40pm this evening.
