Taoiseach leads tributes to former Glenroe star

Taoiseach Brian Cowen has paid tribute to renowned actor Mick Lally who passed away after a short illness today.

Mr Cowen said he was shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of Lally.

Meanwhile, Culture Minister Mary Hanafin also extended her sympathy to his wife, Peggy, their three children and his theatrical colleagues.
