Three men taking part in a drugs trial in Cork have been hospitalised after having an adverse reaction.

Three men taking part in a drugs trial in Cork have been hospitalised after having an adverse reaction.

It happened at the Shandon Clinic in the city this afternoon during a cancer drug trial.

They were taken to Cork University Hospital and are in a stable condition.

Nine others were treated at the scene.

The Clinic has said the trial has now been terminated and the remaining volunteers are being supervised.
