Gardaí search for cross-border gang

Gardaí in Co Monaghan are involved in a search today for a cross-border gang that hijacked a jeep near Castleblayney.

It happened on Wednesday night near a farmhouse at Annyalla. The teenager was sitting alone in the 4x4 when a man jumped in and started the engine.

When she refused to get out, the hijacker dragged her out and threw her on the road.

The hijacker and his accomplices made their getaway in the direction of the Keady border in South Armagh.
