Surgeon calls for dedicated training for cosmetic surgeons

There are calls for the regulation of cosmetic surgery in Ireland.

Plastic surgeon Dr Labros Chatzis has called on Health Minister Mary Harney to enforce guidelines so that only consultant plastic surgeons can carry out cosmetic procedures.

"If you want to have cosmetic surgery, you should be operated on by a plastic surgeon," he said.
