Galway boy makes final of China story-telling competition

A nine-year-old Galway boy has become the first non-Asian child to make it to the final in a national story-telling competition in China.

Tiernan Murphy wowed the judges with his rendition of 'Little Red Riding Hood' in fluent Mandarin.

The Murphy family, from Woodford moved to China three years ago when Tiernan’s mother Cliona took a job with Pepsi in Asia.
