Inquest to examine fatal shooting by attacker on bicycle

The inquest will take place later today of a 21-year-old man shot dead by an attacker on a bicycle in Dublin.

Gavin McCarthy of Oriel Street Lower in the North inner city was shot in the face outside a Sheriff Street takeaway in October 2008.

His inquest will open this morning at the Dublin city coroner's court.
