Liga 'Original' biscuits recalled from Irish shops

A product from the Liga baby food range is being recalled from Irish shop shelves, over safety fears.

The product's distributor, Jacob Fruitfield, says the 'Original' biscuits, which come in a red box, take too long to soften in the mouth.

The fear is that they could cause choking or discomfort in babies under nine months of age if they are given to them dry.

There is no safety concern for any baby eating the biscuits if they are first mixed with liquid, like milk or fruit juice.
