Victim of Sligo attack dies

Gardaí have confirmed that a 60 year-old man who was the victim of a serious assault in Sligo during the week has died in hospital.

The man had been fighting for his life in Sligo General Hospital since Thursday morning - when he was attacked in the Carton Point area.
