Two questioned in connection with attack in Sligo

Two men are being questioned about an attack on a 60-year-old in Co Sligo.

The victim is critically ill in Sligo General Hospital after the assault, which occurred in the Cartron Point area on Thursday morning last.

A 29-year-old man was arrested last night. He is being held at Manorhamilton garda station.

A 28-year-old was detained on Friday night and is being questioned at Ballymoate garda station.
