Health unions to outline opposition to job cuts at LRC meeting
Health unions will outline their opposition to the threat of 1,000 jobs being axed in the West to the Labour Relations Commission this morning.
Talks between HSE officials and members of the SIPTU and Impact trade unions will get underway at Merlin Park in Galway this morning.
It has been reported that up to 1,000 workers on temporary or fixed term contracts in the HSE west or in voluntary organisations could face being let go or see their working week cut dramatically.
