Talks on Dublin waste dispute to resume

Talks aimed at averting a rubbish collection strike in the capital will resume later today.

The dispute centres on a plan by Dun Laoghaire County Council to outsource the service to a private company.

Union representatives will hold talks with management at the council as well as bosses from other local authorities in Dublin.
