Coastguard rescue eight on Lough Derg

A rescue operation was launched on Lough Derg earlier.

A boat got caught on some rocks off Crane Island close to Church Bay at around 3.30pm.

The RNLI Lifeboat towed the vessel to safe water after establishing that all eight passengers were unharmed and that the boat was undamaged.
