A woman has been hospitalised after being rescued from Newry canal by two PSNI officers.

A woman has been hospitalised after being rescued from Newry canal by two PSNI officers.

The pair jumped into the canal at Merchants Quay at 3.45am this morning to rescue the victim.

She was not seriously injured.
