Fears for 100 jobs in Dublin

There are fears for up to 100 jobs at Avaya in Dublin.

The company, which is based at Sandyford Business Park in Dublin, specialises in business communications and IP solutions.

The firm employs 170 people in Ireland, with 110 at the Dublin base and the remainder in Galway.

Avaya says it is consolidating its R&D facilities in Ireland, withdrawing all existing R&D work from the Dublin site and transferring these operations to the Galway facility.

A statement from the company said only R&D employees based in Dublin are affected by this consolidation.

However, its not known how many staff are affected.
