Five in court on terror charges

Four men and a 16-year-old boy are due to appear in court in Belfast charged with a number of terrorism and firearms offences.

Four men and a 16-year-old boy are due to appear in court in Belfast charged with a number of terrorism and firearms offences.

They were charged last night by detectives from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch investigating alleged dissident republican activity.

The men, aged 47, 40, 34 and 33, and the 16-year-old were arrested after two guns were recovered during a police operation on the Falls Road in west Belfast last Thursday.

They are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court.
