Government approves Thornton prison block procurement

The Minister for Justice and Law Reform Dermot Ahern has today announced Government approval for the procurement of the first two prison blocks at the prison campus at Thornton.

These two blocks will provide 400 high grade cells suitable to accommodate up to 700 prisoners, it is claimed.
