Justice for the Forgotten faces closure due to lack of funding

The group which represents victims of the Troubles in the Republic has said it may be wound down in two weeks time because of a lack of funding.

Justice for the Forgotten had its government funding cut at its Dublin office because the State is focusing its resources on a crime victims unit in the area instead.

It costs around €145,000 to run the office, including the cost of an annual commemorative event for the Dublin-Monaghan bombings.

The group has said that unless funding is found, it will be wound down by the end of the month.
