Talks between unions and management are due to resume at the Labour Relations Commission this afternoon after no breakthrough was made at yesterday's negotiations.

The row centres on a decision by the County Council to outsource bin collection services to a private company - Panda - from next week.

SIPTU's Padraig Yeates warned that pickets would be mounted on Thursday if no progress is made.
