Teen held in connection with gangland killing freed

A teenager arrested over a fatal gangland shooting of a suspected killer was released without charge today.

He was one of two people detained in raids late on Tuesday, a few hours after gangster Stephen “Madzer” Byrne was shot in the head and chest in Dublin’s north inner city.
