Pipe bomb found in west Dublin

An investigation is underway after a pipe bomb was found in West Dublin.

The viable device was discovered under a camper van at Shancastle Lawns in Clondalkin at around 11pm last night.

The Army Bomb Disposal unit was called in and the pipebomb was made safe.

A technical examination of the scene will now take place.
