Taxi drivers who took own lives remembered in Dublin

Three taxi drivers who took their own lives last week will be remembered in Dublin later.

It is thought the men committed suicide because of increased financial worries as the industry weathers the recession.

A candlelight vigil will take place in the Phoenix Park later, organised by the UNITY support group.

Spokesperson Lisa Corr said to any drivers worried about finances or other issues: "Don't suffer in silence; speak to somebody", whether that's to friends, family or support services such as Console - Freephone 1800 247 100.
