Cowen to meet Wall Street executives

The Taoiseach will hold meetings with top executives from Wall Street’s financial sector during the second day of his trip to the United States.

Brian Cowen will also have talks with New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg and with successful young people based in the city who are part of the Global Irish Network.

Irish companies creating business in the US, as well as representatives from the IDA, Enterprise Ireland and Tourism Ireland will also brief the Taoiseach.

In the first leg of his three-day trip yesterday Mr Cowen said he planned to drive home the message that Ireland’s economy was growing again.

Tonight the Taoiseach will end his second day by meeting representatives of the Irish community.
