Two PSNI officers were injured, one critically, during a major customs operation on the border today which ended with the seizure of almost 7.5 million smuggled cigarettes.

Two PSNI officers were injured, one critically, during a major customs operation on the border today which ended with the seizure of almost 7.5 million smuggled cigarettes.

They were hit by a van which drove at speed and failed to stop outside premises near the village of Meigh, South Armagh, which were about to be searched.
