Supreme Court dismisses family's challenge over education of autistic son
The Supreme Court has dismissed an action to compel the State to fund specialised education for a 10-year-old autistic boy.
Seán Ó Cuanacháin suing through his father Cian, of Mountain View, Arklow, Co Wicklow was trying to secure funding for Applied Behavioural Analysis training (ABA).
The court found there were "no issues" remaining between the parties after hearing that the Department of Education has been paying for Sean's ABA schooling since his family lost a High Court challenge three years ago.
