Water restrictions announced in Clare

Clare County Council has announced restrictions on water supplies in place in Ennis, Tulla and parts of North Clare over the coming days.

The local authority said more extensive rationing and cut-offs were likely if it continues to stay dry.

Clare County Council is advising consumers to repair all leaks and to avoid unnecessary usage, including washing cars and watering lawns.

Restrictions are also in place in counties Leitrim, Sligo and Donegal.
