Health cutbacks spark protest rally in south-east

A large protest against health cutbacks takes place in the south-east later.

Thousands of people are expected at the rally.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has said bed closures at St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny and Bethany House in Carlow are "unacceptable".

They also claim the HSE is planning to cut a further 20 beds at an orthopedic hospital in the area.
