Third bomb attack on community worker's home

A pipe bomb damaged the home of a community worker in north Belfast today – the third attack on the property this year.

The device exploded outside the front window of Mary Kelly’s house in Glandore Avenue at around 1am.

A number of nearby homes were evacuated while Army bomb disposal experts made the area safe.

The bomb, which only partially detonated, badly damaged the window and sill.

Ms Kelly works on a number of cross-community projects in the area.
