Elderly man in critical condition after attack in Meath

A 63-year-old man remains in a critical condition in hospital after being attacked in Co Meath at the weekend.

The man was found beside parked cars on Academy Street in Navan just after midnight on Sunday night.

He was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, where he is said to be in a critical condition.
