Man set for sentencing after admitting fraud at FÁS office

A Wicklow man is to be sentenced in relation to fraud at the FÁS offices.

A Wicklow man is to be sentenced in relation to fraud at the FÁS offices.

James Brooke Tyrrell (aged 53), of Church Gate, Church Road, Greystones, pleaded guilty that on or about August 25, 2003 at Foras Aiseanna Saothair, Upper Baggot Street he made a false instrument, namely a quotation on the headed note paper of “The Farm Digital Post Production” with the intention to induce another person to accept it as genuine and to do some act to the prejudice of that person or any other person.

Judge Katherine Delahunt remanded Tyrell on bail until his sentence date on December 12 next when full facts will be heard.
