Two men were being questioned today over the seizure of drugs with a street value of up to €190,000.

The first suspect was arrested when cannabis worth €20,000 was discovered in a house in Kilmallock, Co Limerick, yesterday evening.

A car was later stopped as part of a follow-up search in the area and a quantity of cocaine and herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €170,000 was found. A second man was arrested.

Both men, who are in their 20s, are detained at Bruff garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Gardaí said the raids were carried out as part of an ongoing investigating into distribution of illegal drugs in the east Limerick area.
