Call for urgent work on Donegal water works

There are calls for urgent work to be carried out on defective water pipes in Co Donegal.

A total of €2.9m was allocated to Donegal County Council this year for pipe replacement works and water conservation.

Yet infrastructure in Magheroarty and Meenlaragh is claimed to be defective still.

Donegal South West Senator Brian O'Domhnaill says the situation in the areas around Gortahork is worsening.

The disruption to water supplies is a major cause for concern to the local community.
